A Bridgeport firefighter who was killed in a car crash while off duty last week was laid to rest in the Park City Saturday.
More than 100 firefighters from across the region paid their respects to 34-year-old Jimmie Jones at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Police say Jones was killed after he lost control of his car and smashed into another vehicle on Bishop Avenue near Connecticut Avenue last Saturday.
Jones' son and a close friend were among the other people injured in the crash.

Mayor Joe Ganim and Fire Chief Brian Rooney were among the mourners at the funeral.
