The Academy of Our lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall held an outdoor graduation ceremony on Saturday.

The school welcomed the class of 2020 back to its Milford campus for the first time since transitioning to online learning back in March.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal was the guest of honor and called the graduating class of 2020 "an impressive group of future leaders."

The event was streamed live for parents as part of the school's efforts to observe COVID-19 safety protocols.

"We should celebrate these young people and schools like Lauralton Hall that have shown the perseverance and courage, the grit, to get across the finish line and graduate this class.”
