Bridgeport Mayor-elect Joe Ganim announced the members of his transition task force Monday.

Ganim says state Rep. Charles Stallworth, outgoing Town Clerk Alma Maya and University of Bridgeport President Neil Salonen will serve as co-chairs of the transition team.

The task force has 75 members who will serve on seven committees and offer policy proposals on all aspects of the city's government, according to Ganim.

He says the new team will focus on public safety, taxes, economic development and education. The mayor-elect says the group will bring back recommendations that will allow his office to begin their job the right way.

Ganim says there's still time for any city resident to get involved on the transition team.

He takes over leadership of the city on Dec. 1.
