Gerber has launched its 2026 Photo Search, “Behind the Baby,” celebrating both babies and the parents who make everyday moments special. The reimagined contest highlights the real, messy, joyful experiences that define early childhood.

Parents of children up to age 3 can enter for a chance to be named the 2026 Gerber Baby, winning $50,000 plus a $2,000 Gerber Childrenswear wardrobe. For the first time, kids ages 3 to 5 can also compete in a new category sponsored by Get’ems! snacks, offering a $10,000 prize and an additional $500 from Gerber Childrenswear.

Gerber says the updated contest continues its mission to support families and celebrate the often unseen work of parents. Past participants praise the contest for honoring the real stories behind the photos.

Entries are open from March 2 through April 12 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

Families can submit a photo and a short written story capturing a meaningful everyday moment here, where full rules and details are available.
