The Consul General of Ireland in New York joined Comptroller Sean Scanlon and other state leaders on Thursday to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, a historic negotiation brokered by the United States to end the violent conflict known as The Troubles.
The ceremony in Hartford marked the agreement made more than a quarter century ago on April 10 to end the deadly, decades long conflict.
President Joe Biden is visiting Ireland to mark the occasion next week.
The Troubles cost the lives of an estimated 3,500 people in Northern Ireland.
