Gov. Dannel Malloy announced today more than $102 million in new cuts to the state's $20 billion budget.
The governor says the cuts follow recent losses in the stock market.
The biggest cut involves more than $64 million in funds taken from the Department of Social Services.
And more than $8 million from the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The changes also affect the Department of Economic and Community Development.
Some of the cuts affect organizations like Bridgeport's Beardsley Zoo and Norwalk's Stepping Stones Museum for Children.
