A Greenwich community is raising money for a woman they say is battling COVID-19 and esophageal cancer.
Carolyn Tarpey was admitted to Greenwich Hospital immediately following her positive COVID-19  test.
News 12 is told Tarpey’s chemotherapy has been halted. She has been unable to see her 14-year-old son for weeks.
The community has donated nearly $120,000 through a GoFundMe page for Tarpey. The page has been shared online over 1,000 times.
The donations are going to cover medical bills, her son’s schooling and other financial needs.
