The Greenwich Police Department is cracking down on fights amid a recent report of multiple altercations on and off school campuses.

In a statement, the police department said extra patrols have been scheduled after school hours in areas where students are known to gather.

The department also says school resource officers have been on the lookout for potential issues that could arise between students and their community, as well as monitoring social media for large gatherings.

Other courses of action include working alongside school administrators and parents to figure out the best way to stop fighting between students.
