An Old Greenwich store played a prank on customers and passersby for April Fools' Day.
The Rummage Room on Sound Beach Avenue had volunteers acting as mannequins in its storefront windows, causing people to stop dead in their tracks. The "mannequins" were present from open to close.
Rummage Room is a thrift shop run by the First Congregational Church to raise money for charity.
The shop has been playing the joke for more than a decade and still manages to catch people by surprise each year.
