A Bridgeport group says that a recent sexual predator bust in Fairfield should be a wake-up call for parents.
Police arrested 10 men who they say tried to meet a child for sex. Investigators say five of the men live in southwestern Connecticut.
Fairfield police say one of the men involved, who is from Stratford, had a loaded gun, duct tape and a box of condoms in his car when he went to the meeting. The department teamed up with former NBC News reporter Chris Hansen for an undercover sting. It will be featured on an episode of his new show "Hansen vs. Predator."
The Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport says it works every day to try to protect children from abuse. Center employees say the arrests should remind parents that they need to talk to their kids about being safe online.
The center says the most important rule is to never meet someone in person that you have only talked with online.
