Stamford authorities responded to a home this afternoon after receiving reports of a man with a gun. SWAT teams swarmed the home on Fairfield Avenue, closing the road to all traffic between Young Dixon Way and Selleck Street. Stamford Police Capt. Brian McEllicott says he had tips that an armed suspect was going to open fire in the house, which he says prompted his men to make an entry. Police say the situation was resolved 90 minutes later, but have yet to release any more information.
