A Bronx teen was laid to rest Tuesday after being gunned down during a Memorial Day barbecue just one year before graduating with honors.
Dozens of Martin Jackson?s classmates walked in procession from the school yard to the funeral home, where the 18-year-old honor roll student and basketball athlete was remembered by friends and family.
During the Memorial Day celebration at Crotona Park, someone began firing shots into the crowd where Jackson was standing with a group of friends. The teen was hit in the head by a bullet and later died in St. Barnabas Hospital.
Police are not commenting on their investigation into Jackson?s death, while the teen?s relatives demand to know who is responsible for his death.
