Strong winds and heavy rain put officials across southwestern Connecticut on alert for possible flooding and downed trees Tuesday.
The heaviest rain moved north early Tuesday evening, but gusty winds continued into Wednesday. Norwalk's Department of Public Works? crews were ready to be called in if needed. They cleaned out as many storm drains as possible early Tuesday to prevent flooding.
Minor outages and a few downed trees were reported throughout the day.
