Today is a day of celebration for many across the tristate—it's National Bagel Day!
Here are some fun facts about our favorite way to start the day: The bagel was first introduced to the U.S. by Polish-Jewish immigrants. The International Bagel Bakers' Union was then established in 1907. Until the 1960s, bakeries made bagels by hand before the invention of the bagel maker.
