Homeowner Jerry Milano says a blowtorch used by vandals may have started the blaze that destroyed his childhood home. The fire started at around 11 p.m. last night on Reservoir Road, gutting most of the two-story house, which was for sale and has been vacant since Milano?s mother died two years ago. An assistant fire chief says there was heavy smoke and flames coming from the building when firefighters arrived. Part of the building collapsed. Officials say a furnace and copper pipes were taken from the home. An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.
