The content below has been provided by Access Health CT and has no editorial input from News 12 Connecticut.
If you’re enrolled in health or dental coverage through Access Health CT, you can renew your coverage during Open Enrollment beginning November 1. Renewing your coverage during Open Enrollment is the best way to ensure you will continue to have the coverage you and your family need.If you’re enrolled in HUSKY coverage, you have a different renewal process. The information in this blog post is not intended for you. Visit the CT Department of Social Services’ website for details on how to renew your HUSKY coverage online.

The renewal process

You should receive information in the mail about your renewal in October. This letter explains what you need to do and if you’re eligible to renew your coverage automatically. It will also explain what to do if you need to take any action to renew your coverage. For example, you may need to make updates to your application such as updating your household income or mailing address.

Automatic Renewal

If your household information has stayed the same, you may be eligible for automatic renewal. Eligible customers will receive another letter in November. This letter will confirm that your automatic renewal for 2025 has been processed. It will also include details of your health and/or dental policy and premium(s) for the coming year. The amount you need to pay each month may change, so be sure to review all the information provided so you can pay your premium(s) and keep your coverage.

What if I’m not eligible for automatic renewal?

If your household information has changed, or there isn’t a plan option similar to your current coverage, you may not be eligible for automatic renewal. You will need to take action to keep your health and/or dental coverage. Don’t worry, Access Health CT will send a letter to you in November with instructions about renewing your coverage. And you will need to visit AccessHealthCT.com to shop, compare and enroll in a new health and/or dental plan. For more on comparing health plans, click here.
