Carol Wagner, of Bridgeport, has had more than a dozen surgeries over the course of her battle with breast cancer, and now she is at risk of losing her home.
June is National Breast Cancer Survivors Month, and members of the community are using the opportunity to help raise awareness of Wagner's situation in order to help her keep her home.
Supporters of the 66-year-old say Medicare only covers a portion of her health and home care, causing her to fall behind on rent.
"This is 66 years of TLC, hard work, and a woman who's given everything for her family and now finds herself in a crisis and no one is there to give her a helping hand," said neighbor Dennis Bradley.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help Wagner.
