The Stamford police officer who was seriously hurt while chasing a suspect has been removed from Norwalk Hospital's ICU after making strides in his recovery. Officer Troy Strauser was injured May 17 when he fell from an embankment onto I-95. He was pursuing a robbery suspect, Frank Douglas, who has since been arrested. Fellow officers say they have been praying for his good health and that they believe he will eventually return to the force. Strauser is currently listed in guarded condition at Norwalk Hospital.
