Lake Compounce amusment park has announced new protocols for its July opening, following a state mandated closure due to the coronavirus.
Under phase 2 of Connecticut's reopening plan, amusement parks can reopen to visitors.
Lake Compounce has announced it will be open for season passholders only from July 1 through July 5.
Their official Opening Day to the rest of the public will begin on July 6.
Under state protocol, capacity at amusement parks will be capped at 25%.
Customers will need to buy their ticket online, and register for a specific date ahead of time.
If the date you want to visit is not listed, that means the park has already hit capacity that day.
Guests will have their temperature taken before entering the park.
Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher or anyone displaying other COVID-like symptoms—will not be allowed in.
All staff and guests must wear masks except children under 2, and those with a valid medical condition.
Masks must be worn on all rides and attractions except at Crocodile Cove Water Park.
Guests will also have to self-sanitize before boarding all rides.
There will be sanitizing stations at each ride.
Social distancing rules also require your party to be spaced 6 feet apart from another party on rides.
Single riders will be spaced apart from other riders.
Lake Compounce says rides and high-touch surfaces will be sanitized throughout the day.
Some rides might not open right away or some will stay closed all season.
