Last-minute shoppers were out in full force across southwestern Connecticut this weekend to pick up the perfect Mother's Day presents.
Mickey Doyle, owner of Springdale Florist and Garden Center in Darien, says that Mother's Day is one of their busiest days of the year.
Some sought-after offerings at the florist include hanging plants and cut flowers.
Store employees were busy wrapping flowers with cellophane and ribbon.
Neil McDonnell and his daughter, Ella, came to Springdale Florist to put together the perfect bouquet. McDonnell says he hopes the flowers will brighten his wife's Mother's Day.
