Some families had to wait in long lines outside the Discovery Museum in Bridgeport to watch Monday's solar eclipse.
Museum management says while it has seen a lot of excitement around the historic event, it wants it to be a day of learning for people.
The museum handed out solar eclipse glasses for people to view the event without hurting their eyes.
A line wrapped around the museum even before it opened with families wanting to get their hands on the glasses.
"We're completely honored that people are coming here," says one museum employee. "We pride ourselves on being a regional STEM learning resource and we're delighted that the community is relying on us to educate them about this event."
