A major liquor chain in Connecticut has filed a lawsuit in an effort to challenge the state's minimum pricing laws.
Total Wine and More says minimum pricing is unfair to customers and illegal.
The chain says it is selling about 30 bottles for below the state minimum.
They say customers in Connecticut are paying 20 to 30 percent more compared to what they'd spend in other states.
Meanwhile, mom-and-pop liquor stores say they are concerned that it would crush their businesses if the state does away with minimum pricing laws.
There's no word on how long this legal process will take or when there will be a decision.
As for Total Wine selling for below the minimum, state officials said today they are aware of it and are investigating.
