Local high school sports team got back on the field this week to get ready for the upcoming season, and two local doctors say there's another step they should take in their preseason prep.
Dr. Audrey Paul and Dr. Deborah Mogelof run the Heads Up Westport Concussion Center. They do post-concussion assessments as well as baseline testing.
They say that testing gives doctors a comparison point if a student, or an adult, gets a concussion, and that it can lead to better treatment.
Dr. Paul says concussions are becoming more common but they're not sure why.
