Some parts of Nassau County got at least 2 inches of snow on Saturday.
The snow accumulation was the first official snowfall of the winter season.
Long Islanders spent the early part of the day shoveling and cleaning off their cars.
Plows sanded and salted major roadways and local streets across Nassau County.
Later in the evening, Long Islanders dealt with frigid temps and strong winds on the last weekend before Christmas and Hanukkah.
Plows will be rolling out Sunday morning to treat roads again.
