Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz spoke at a Sexual Assault Awareness month ceremony in Greenwich Monday.
Sexual violence prevention advocates from across the state came together Monday to spread the message that victims are not alone.
"Every 68 seconds in the United States, someone experiences sexual assault. So ladies and gentlemen, we have a lot of work to do, but we want all of the survivors to know that they're not alone, and that there is help available," said Bysiewicz.
The lieutenant governor was joined by Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo and representatives from the Rowan Center.
