A major expansion project is coming to Housatonic Community College.
Officials held a ground-breaking ceremony at the campus in downtown Bridgeport Thursday.
According to officials, the $37 million project will including a new welcome center and more office space. It will also include renovations to the library and science labs.
Construction should be completed by 2017, which is the college's 50 anniversary.
