A major road construction project is slated to begin soon in Trumbull, officials say.

The project on Broadway and Whitney will last between six and eight weeks and will affect the area of Dunellen Road.

Contruction will include temporary lane closures at some point during the work.

The schedule is being coordinated with bus schedules and other projects in town.

Trumbull officials say did not say when exactly the Long Hill Village District Construction project is slated to begin other than right after Labor Day.
