The man police say repeatedly stabbed his wife with a screwdriver was arraigned at Stamford Superior Court Friday.
Michael Parrotta was handed a $1 million bond and issued a restraining order from his wife, Lorraine Parrotta, who is now in stable condition at a Stamford hospital.
Police say Lorraine Parrotta was in her car outside Micheal Parrotta's 26 Byram Terrace Drive home Thursday night with the couple's 18-year-old autistic son in the passenger's seat, when Michael Parrotta attacked her.
The couple is going through a divorce, and police say there is already one protection order to keep Michael Parrotta away from his wife. Police say there is a history of domestic violence that dates back to 2002.
Michael Parrotta is due back in court on April 9.
