Police say a 20-year-old Bridgeport man is in critical condition after he was beaten and shot at a high school football game Friday night.
According to police, dozens of people beat and threw a bicycle at Michael Gregory before he was shot in the groin and right thigh on North Avenue near Center Street. The attack happened after a crowd left the football game between Central and Bassick high schools at Kennedy Stadium, authorities say.
Officers rushed Gregory to St. Vincent's Medical Center.
Police say several people have been arrested in connection with the brawl but they're still looking for the shooter.
