A man convicted for his role in a 2001 Norwalk murder was shot early this morning.
Anthony Patterson, 33, was shot at Oak Knolls on Connecticut Avenue after midnight.
Police say Patterson ran to a nearby Home Depot where he went inside and said he had been shot.
The state department of corrections says Patterson was released from prison in December for his role in the death of David Rowley.
Police say they aren't sure if the shooting was related to his previous conviction, but say that he was likely targeted.
Anyone with information is asked to call Norwalk police at 203-854-3000.
