Police in Norwalk are on the hunt for the man responsible for the armed robbery of a local convenience store.
Surveillance video shows the suspect walking into the Speedy Mart on Roger Square at around 2:30 p.m. Friday and pulling out a gun.
The suspect was wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt that covered his face. The clerk was the only person in the store at the time of the robbery.
Police say the man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No injuries were reported.
Detectives tell News 12 while they've investigated nearby armed robberies in the past, they do not consider the area dangerous.
News 12 spoke with residents and local business owners that say they are very shaken up by the incident.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Norwalk Police Department.
