Many communities in the area have set up cooling centers for people to beat the heat.
In Stratford, the Baldwin Center is open today, as well as the Birdseye Community Center.
Bridgeport residents can chill out at the bus terminal downtown.
Norwalk officials say the libraries are open as cooling centers, as well as the Community Room at City Hall.
The High Plains Community Center and the Case Memorial Library in Orange are open through the afternoon.
Westport's senior center will also be a cooling center until 8 p.m.
