A march was held Saturday as residents called for the senseless violence to stop after three shootings last week.
Bobbi Brown, Jennifer Cuevas and Shaenna Taylor organized the event called Bridgeport Strong: March for Our Lives.
The day began with a prayer for peace and guidance, with I.M.A. President Pastor William McCullough underscoring the theme of the march - a day for healing for the families of those killed by gun violence.
Marchers came with a message of unity, but also with a challenge, saying it's that one requires foresight and discipline. Many chanted "No justice, no peace."
