Icy road conditions didn't stop Meals on Wheels volunteers from delivering food across Norwalk Wednesday.

Volunteers packed the meals at the Norwalk Senior Center before heading out to 40 homebound seniors in the area.

Idalia Nunez was one of the happy recipients. The 79-year-old says she has fallen many times over the years, so Meals on Wheels is a lifesaver to her. She also appreciates the conversation with the volunteers.

Allan Trowbridge, who has been volunteering with the organization for about a year, delivered her meal. For him, a simple "thanks" is all he needs.
