News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says it will be mild on Monday with the possibility of “sneaky snow” on Tuesday evening.
NEW: A brief system looks to bring in rain and snow showers Monday night into Tuesday morning across western Connecticut. It may not amount to much, but could cause a few headaches for the Tuesday morning commute.
NEXT: Temperatures will take a tumble as we go into the first week of February. Highs will be in the 30s with possible morning lows in the teens and 20s. Even some flurries are possible into Wednesday and Thursday. Frigid wind chills and brisk, blustery winds are also in the cards.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy and mild with lows in the 30s.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with some rain/snow mix possible late into Tuesday morning. Highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s.
TUESDAY: Turning partly cloudy and breezy with a flurry or two. Highs near 40 and lows in the 20s. Gusty winds up to 25 MPH.
WEDNESDAY: Sun and clouds with highs around freezing and lows in the 20s.
GROUNDHOG DAY - THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with highs around 40 and lows in the 20s. Chance of a sprinkle or snowflake in the cards.
INTO THE WEEKEND: Much colder with highs in the 20s and lows in the single digits and teens. Frigid wind chills and blustery, brisk wind gusts possible.
