Motorcyclist seriously injured following crash with SUV in Stamford

A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a crash involving an SUV that ejected him from his bike in Stamford, police say.

A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a crash involving an SUV that ejected him from his bike in Stamford, police say.    
The crash happened Monday night on East Main Street, between Seaside and Weedavenuesaround 7:55 p.m.
The area was closed for several hours.
Police say the SUV was attempting to make a turn whenit collided with the motorcycle.
The motorcycle rider, a 53-year-old man, was ejected from the bike and taken to the hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
