A graduate of Mount St. Michael Academy is giving back to the school by starting a new scholarship.
Rocco Commisso came to America from Italy and graduated from the school. He was back at the high school Tuesday to celebrate the start of his American Dream scholarship fund.
Three scholarships will be awarded annually to a sophomore, junior and senior. The students must come from immigrant families, be in great academic standing and show hard work in their community.
Scholarship recipient Raishawn Pitt, who wants to become a doctor, says he is very grateful for the opportunity he has been given by Commisso.
