Museum: Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome board member killed in air show crash
A post on the Museum's Facebook page says that “Brian Coughlin, of Cazenovia, longtime Aerodrome volunteer and Board Member” was killed when a World War I replica plane “went down off the south end of the runway.”

18h agoA Madison County man was killed in a plane crash during the Saturday Air Show at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in Dutchess County.
A post on the Museum's Facebook page says that “Brian Coughlin, of Cazenovia, longtime Aerodrome volunteer and Board Member” was killed when a World War I replica plane “went down off the south end of the runway.”
The aircraft was a replica of a World War I Fokker D-VIII. The circumstances surrounding the crash were still unclear as of Saturday night.
The air show scheduled for Sunday was canceled. The museum will also be closed.
A museum statement says the Federal Aviation Administration was alerted about the incident.
This was the second plane crash this year for the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome.
A mid-air collision happened just this past summer. There were no injuries reported in that incident.
