Authorities say a man in Naugatuck has been arrested for abusing seven dogs after two were found roaming the area.
Police said animal control discovered two emaciated and wounded bulldogs on Morning Dove Road on July 1.
Owner Matthew Harris came to retrieve them the next day and was told a welfare check would be done at his home.
That check led to the discovery of five more injured dogs, which were seized.
Harris was charged with two counts of animal cruelty and other related offenses.
