A New Canaan group reached out to neighbors in need this weekend with relief packages for Sandy victims.

Volunteers put the packages together in an Elm Street parking lot yesterday.

A local architect organized the effort to bring the supplies to his hometown in Queens.

The New Canaan YMCA Indian Guide and Princesses program, along with AmeriCares helped in the effort.
