A high school football coach is using the incident involving former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice as a life lesson for his own team.
Rice was released from the Ravens and suspended indefinitely from the NFL after video surfaced showing him punching his then-fiancee.
New Canaan High School Coach Lou Marinelli says he knew Rice when he played football for New Rochelle High School. Marinelli says Rice's suspension shows how good people can make bad decisions that can be detrimental. He is now using the incident as a lesson for his players, teaching them that there are consequences to choices they will make.
Marinelli says he is going to have his team attend seminars on domestic violence this season, along with one they usually attend on date rape.
