A new nonprofit organization in Norwalk is gearing up to give out donated bicycles to local kids in need.
Two Wheels Organization showed News 12 some of its gently used bikes on Monday. All of the bikes were donated by Stamford police.
The bikes are spruced up and then given out to underprivileged kids in Norwalk and Stratford.
The organization was started in 2012 by Hector Correa and Heather Munoz. They received their nonprofit status just a few months ago, and received 73 bikes just this week.
Two Wheels says it needs donations and volunteers. It hopes to give out its first bikes at the end of summer.
The organization has a bicycle storage container in Norwalk.
