A Norwalk chef came in second place on the Food Network cooking competition show "Chopped" Monday night.
Victor Squire is the chef at the Open Door Shelter in Norwalk.
He competed against other chefs working at soup kitchens and shelters and lost in the final round to a nun.
Despite the loss, the show's host said a donation would be made to the Open Door Shelter.
Squire says he became interested in cooking at an early age watching his mother and aunt, and says it's a passion of his.
