A Norwalk man appeared in court today after police say he strangled his girlfriend.
It happened at the Dreamy Hollow apartment complex on Wolfpit Avenue Wednesday.
Police say they were called to an apartment to check on Bertony Thompson after receiving word he was suicidal.
Authorities tell us that is when they found his girlfriend, Jackie Silverman, unresponsive.
Police also say they found Thompson unconscious in the home beside Silverman's body.
They say he was treated at a hospital and is charged with murder.
