Norwalk police have made an arrest in the case of a dog thrown from a moving car on Connecticut Avenue.
Police arrested 56-year-old Helen Skulski, of Wilton, and charged her with animal cruelty.
Skulski made her first court appearance Friday, charged with animal cruelty. She has no prior criminal history.
A not guilty plea was entered on her behalf. Bond was set at $25,000.
Skulski was ordered to have no contact with animals. The beagle thrown from the car has been taken from Skulski. The arrest warrant said the dog had no previous signs of abuse.
Skulski’s husband was in court. Following the hearing, he said both he and his wife are innnocent. He is not charged, though the warrant says he was driving the car at the time of the incident.
