Norwalk police hosted Coffee with a Cop and Clergy at Donut Delight on Connecticut Avenue Friday morning.

This is the first year Norwalk police are participating in National Faith and Blue Weekend.

The program is designed to improve community relationships by bringing together police and local residents with members of the clergy.

Authorities say some people are more willing to talk with the police when clergy are present.

Police will host a Faith and Blue Community Walk in South Norwalk Saturday and will attend several religious services on Sunday.
