Norwalk police are investigating a burglary that happened at a local convenience store early Monday morning.
Investigators say it happened around 12:30 a.m. at the Country Convenience store on Newtown Avenue.
Police say the suspects broke into the business by throwing rocks at the front door, shattering the glass. They say the cash register and cigarette cartons were stolen.
Despite police responding within minutes of the alarm sounding, the suspects had already fled by the time they arrived.
Store owner Vasilios Varvaris says he is still tallying up the damage.
