NYPD sergeants' union head Ed Mullins said police commissioner Bill Bratton should step down while speaking on a local radio station.
Mullins called Bratton "two-faced" and a "do as I say and not as I do" type of leader.
Mullins' comments come as an ongoing investigation continues into whether the NYPD excepted gifts as favors from businessmen with ties to Mayor de Blasio's office.
