The 5-year-old boy who was pulled from the water at Indian Well State Park in Shelton earlier this week has died.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP)’s Environmental Conservation Police (EnCon) made the announcement on Saturday.
The child was unconscious when he was pulled from the water near the Boat Launch on Tuesday, July 15.
Officials say the boy died on Friday.
Authorities had not identified the child as of Saturday evening.
The State Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is investigating the cause of death.
