The boil water advisory for the city of Danbury has been lifted.

Mayor Mark Boughton and city officials received positive test results from the water system earlier today. 

Residents are advised to "flush" their water to clear plumbing of potentially contaminated water.    

The city’s water pressure has also been restored.
